There are many significant variables that go in to making up the value of an aircraft. They make every aircraft unique and can influence its Market Value considerably.

Using books and guides that rely on an “average” or the “asking price” of aircraft-for-sale will not give you an accurate assessment of the Market Value of your aircraft.

An appraisal done by Aviation Business Support (ABS) takes in to account the condition of the airframe, the overhaul status of time / life components such as engine(s) and propeller(s), condition of paint and interior, modifications and on top of that, we add in the value of each and every piece of avionics.

The appraisal process all starts with first hand observations of the aircraft with a field visit, a detailed examination of the aircraft documents from the time the aircraft was new and includes a thorough review of the log books and associated records relating to the airframe, engines, props, instrumentation, avionics, modifications, maintenance and repairs. This takes in to account the maintenance and damage history of the aircraft. Finally a computer analysis of relevant value related data is carried out along with valuations from different data sources and an analysis of the current market.

ABS President, Gary Gaudreau received his formal aircraft appraisal training from the National Aircraft Appraisers Association (NAAA) in 2011. All ABS certified appraisals are completed in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

An aircraft appraisal performed by ABS guarantees you get a trained, experienced aviation professional who is competent, independent, impartial, objective and focused on timeliness, accuracy and reliability.

What you WILL NOT get is a report based on third hand information that has not been verified or validated like a page from a book or website.
